Talking (Really) Personal Finance

Here’s a link to an interview I did with economist Larry Kotlikoff for his podcast. It’s an odd turnabout because I’ve always thought our relationship was me as Boswell to his Dr. Johnson. We’ve coauthored 3 books together, 2 of them for MIT Press, and each one was a wonderful learning experience for me.

This interview includes the story of a 60-year-old man in a dismal position and discusses how he could change his life and do what he wants to do by age 62. As in most such changes, it turns on moving and taking advantage of the biggest lever we have on our lifetime finances – shelter. (You can also read the column about this here.
